Dave Smiley has more than thirty years experience in civil engineering, landscape, and environmental construction applications. He was among the first 1000 people internationally to become a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC). Smiley is a recognized specialist in soil erosion and sediment control, and has ten years of experience in the design and manufacturing of specialized geosynthetics for highway, mining, agricultural and paving applications. Smiley organized and became first President of the Asphalt Interlayer Association, an organization dedicated to education, technical advancement, and promotion of reinforcing and waterproofing interlayers in asphalt pavements.
